We donate a portion of our profits to Women for Women International

Their Approach:

"We invest where inequality is the greatest by helping women who are forgotten— the women survivors of war and conflict. We help them learn the skills they need to rebuild their families and communities.

In our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations Program, a woman breaks the isolation of war and conflict by joining a small group of women like her. Together, they learn to save, build businesses, understand their rights, improve their health, and change societal rules. They have the power to transform our world.

For over 25 years, Women for Women International has used an integrated approach to go beyond charity to innovation: We are a learning organization that listens to data, our teams on-the-ground, and women themselves to constantly evolve and improve the way we work."

Past donations:

October 2020-July 2021 we donated 10% of sales to Feeding America.

Feeding America's mission:

In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it's almost shocking that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to thrive. We work to get nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need. At the same time, we also seek to help the people we serve to build a path to a brighter, food-secure future.

For more than 40 years, Feeding America has responded to the needs of individuals struggling with food insecurity in this country. In times of uncertainty, we have not wavered from our mission to end the fight against hunger.

June - August of 2020 we donated 10% of sales to The Austin Justice Coalition in support of racial equity in our community. Here's some information from their website.

Austin Justice Coalition (AJC) is a community organization that focuses on improving the quality of life for people who are Black, Brown, and poor. Since 2015, AJC has served as a catalyst for positive change towards economic and racial equity for Austin’s people of color by developing, organizing, and providing robust programs and events. AJC’s big four areas of advocacy are education, policing, civic engagement, and community building.

AJC’s strategy continues to create direct and indirect impact in communities of color by influencing changes in local government and advocating for policy reform. This strategy builds on AJC’s experience and knowledge from its work thus far.

Peace Sisters Togo

Their mission:

It is well accepted that educating girls has a significant impact on African societies. A girl's education affects not only the way she conducts her own life choices, but also enhances the overall well being of her family as a whole.

However, when resources are scarce, families are forced to make tough decisions, often favoring investment in their sons. This leaves a gap that Peace Sisters strives to fill.

Their mission:

Women are the majority of the global population, yet there is no place in the world where girls and women experience total equity and equality. It’s a stark reality, but one that motivates us. Achieving global gender equality won’t happen overnight, but it’s worth the fight — because investing in a girl really means investing in her family, her community and our world.

Millions of girls across the world lack the access and opportunity to go to school. That means we’re missing out on the groundbreaking contributions of potential leaders and changemakers. The impact of girls’ education has been shown to be far-reaching, resulting in better health and economic outcomes among entire generations. It is critical to ensure all girls have the right to quality education — for their future and for ours.

From providing safe spaces for girls to defending access to quality education to increasing female teachers and mentors, Girl Up Clubs are on a mission to eliminate gender-based violence around the world.
